The Debating Team endeavours to promote various debating related activities to students in the hope to arouse their interest through observation and participation in debating. Apart from a few members of the Debating Group taking part in external competitions, the group also attended a total of seven public debating events, of which the two most prominent and largest were the SingTao and Basic Law Inter-school Debating Competition.

In terms of hands-on experience, the team participated in external inter-school competitions, achieving very good results, such as second runner-up in the Basic Law Inter-school Debating Competition (Hong Kong Island). Internally, the club organised the Form 4 LS Debating Competition and debating workshops to introduce and provide training on debating techniques and procedures. Students were then able to enhance and develop their skills in debating.
