Our school is committed to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and lower academic performance through a whole school approach (WSA). Through resources allocation, students are provided with different support; The school works with parents through different channels to discuss strategies for supporting students. Our school has received additional resources from the Education Bureau, including: Learning Support Allowance; Grant for Supporting Non-Chinese Speaking Students with Special Educational Needs; Whole School Approach to Integrated Education Programme. A SEN supporting group with special educational needs coordinator, special educational needs support teachers, student counselor and school-based speech therapist is established and the group is advised and supported by school social workers and educational psychologist. Also, a student counsellor is employed to take care of the individual differences under the WSA; Different school-based services are purchased such as Chinese, English and Mathematics after school remedial lessons, SpLD training classes, behavioral emotional management classes and social skill trainings to enhance their learning ability, confidence, social skills and interpersonal communication skills; Lectures on characteristics of students with SpLD are provided in junior form; Teachers take training courses about strategies for teaching students; Provide study and test adjustments to students in need.
